Corrie + Darren | married!
best of cleveland wedding photography - screw factory wedding
I'm not real big into stereotypes, or big fat blanket statements...but I will say one thing, with 100% certainty and TRUTH: a wedding of a couple that has been dating for over TEN YEARS is always the BEST THING IN THE WORLD. I've had a few in my wedding photography experience, and each one (Ahem, Nick and Alaina, Sarah and Drew, to name a few) stands out so vividly in my mind about the power of love, patience, and true everything. They're like, for real, better than fairy tales.
Corrie and Darren are no different. Their wedding was SO MUCH a celebration of the people they are, individually, and have come to be TOGETHER, on their own schedule. Their love, drive, and commitment for each other is admirable. It was truly an honor to get to watch them make the jump into married life on this day.
So there's all that good stuff, AND one of my new favorite venues around. The Screw Factory! (<---right!? so fun!) So any of you brides out there (in Cleveland) looking for an industrial-blank -slate of a venue, look no further (for the venue, and then book me to come with you, because I'm obsessed).
On to the fun! the photos!
Enjoy!
Laura + Ben | married!
Laura + Ben's High Line wedding was a perfect celebration of their love. They were surrounded by the people they love, and so comfortable, that when it was time to walk down the aisle, it was as though they were simply made to marry each other. No nerves. No jitters. So sweet, and pure love!
High Line is a gorgeous venue + I'm always happy to shoot there. Enjoy seeing what I saw, along with some help from my trusty sidekick, Savannah, below!
(and I'm just going to put this little piece of hope into the universe. I'm way down for offering my handlettering/calligraphy for brides and events! Scary, YUP! But I love it, and find myself with all my "spare time" (which I have essentially none of! basically nervous writing during Cavs games!) practicing and writing and writing! SOOOOO if you want to chat about it with me, I'm game!)
Katie + Tyler
I remember first talking with Katie about how she wanted me to shoot her wedding as I left my midwife appointment...in OCTOBER of 2014! We chatted over Jeni's about parenting styles (me to my then 2 and 4 year old boys, and her to her almost 1 year old boy), weddings, Clintonville, and everything in between. After a first birthday lifestyle shoot for their family, and a frigid engagement session, and over a YEAR later, the wedding finally came! I couldn't wait to shoot at Jorgensen, I've fallen in love with all the images I've seen from weddings there, I just wanted to make my own!
It's so awesome watching + getting to shoot a family coming together on a wedding day. Of course, my Mama heart melted when her little man came to see her and Tyler all dressed up...and the way he wandered around the ceremony, so cute!

Excited that I'll be back at this gorgeous venue in a few months, twice!
Enjoy!
Jessica + Javier | bridal portraits!
Jessica + Javier weren't even actually MY clients. My assistant + awesome second shooter, Savannah mentioned a while back to me how she was going to do a bridal shoot for a couple who, just the previous summer, got married at the Franklin Park Conservatory, but didn't quite love all of their bridal portraits. I thought it sounded super awesome, and smart of them, to go back, so soon, and get the portraits they wished they had done on their wedding day. (note to future brides: make time for portraits on your wedding day, avoid hiring uncle to do said portraits!)
Well, when it came down to it, Savannah's scheduled included a birth, and Jessica + Javier's schedule was not REscheduleable! ...thus they became MY clients! Thank goodness for our serendipitous meeting - I loved getting to remake these images for them + hope they fill the empty spot of wedding photos they were missing out on!
Enjoy!
Krista + Mike | a courthouse wedding!
Sometimes (always) the most special parts of your day include quiet, intimate moments between you and your closest family members and friends. YES. Your wedding may include 200+ people, and YES it's quite worth it for a photographer to capture lots of those candid moments that happen between any of those people...but when people just know that a big wedding is not for them, and they want to make it more about the final outcome of being MARRIED!, they're smart to realize that there are still ahhhh-maaaazing photos and memories to be captured!
Small, intimate, courthouse style, or elopement weddings are among my absolutely FAVORITE events to be a part of. I will almost always find a way for me to be a part of your event, if you'd like me to be there!
Here's Krista + Mike's wedding from last May. Enjoy!
Kayti + Josh | married at The Darby House
Darby House Wedding in Galloway Ohio. Columbus Ohio best of wedding photography
So the thing about this job lately is that my awesome clients-turned-friends are so fantastic about sharing their experiences with me with their to-be-married friends, I have barely shared ANNNNNYYYYTHING from 2014 OR 2015. No joke. Kayti + Josh's wedding was in August of 2014, and I'm sharing because I absolutely love the chance to shoot at this gorgeous venue. Ahem, ahem, 2017 brides at the Darby House, I'm talking to you!
