Little known fact: I went to the College of Wooster, but it wasn’t known to any of us when we first talked about their November (2022!) wedding back in the summer (of 2020!!). So that’s been fun to compare experiences about such an important part of life. More known fact, possibly: my husband also went to Wooster, so we’re big fans of Wooster couples! It was great to see the campus now, I swear it’s a whole lot nicer than when we were there!

I loved Rachel + Ryan’s wedding - always love getting to experience a new (to me) shooting venue. We had shot there engagement session at Alum Creek Farm back in summer 2020, when the sunflowers were in bloom - it was amazing, and their wedding day certainly didn’t disappoint.

Per usual, the year has absolutely flown by with no slowing down in sight. I will never get sick of shooting in the flower field here - and June time is absolutely my favorite time of year. So much light. So much warmth.

in this case: to trick Sabitha that her proposal wasn’t about to happen! Did it feel good to be a part of the trick? No!! Was it worth it to see the joy in her eyes when she understood why everyone told her what they did? YES! Enjoy a few from their proposal, and subsequent mini engagement session! Cassie + Dan | when you just want some wedding portraits
the best time of a wedding day, when I get to know my couples the most is during the wedding portrait time - and I like to do these in little bursts throughout the day, so my couples never feel too overwhelmed with “needing to do photos.” It’s kind of the thing I like to talk about the most, so ask me about it if you want to know more! ;)
So Cassie + Dan were a schedule / reschedule / schedule / you know the theme here… and while they were married, they didn’t get to do the traditional first look + wedding photos and get that experience. So Kelly @ Jorgensen Farms went ahead and made Cassie an amazing bridal bouquet, and we met downtown Columbus for some wedding photos. It was easy + fun + relaxed…I’m so so glad they asked me to shoot these for them! Enjoy!
and THEN! then we had to pop some champagne for photos and for fun :) it’s been a long 1.5 years, amiright!?

the thing about spring weddings is that they bring so much joy + excitement in a world that - in my world, anyways - is just starting to wake up from a long dark winter.
