Sara + Cameron || married at Via Vecchia
via vecchia wedding in Columbus Ohio by Jessica love. design by aisle and co.
I β¦ could make this all about how itβs safe to have a wedding during COVID, blah blah blah, but sometimes itβs just nice to look at some images without the focus being on how weird everything is right now, despite being as βnormalβ as it can be. SO! Enjoy these images, because I know I do!

getting back to my roots // family sessions that fill my heart
Iβll get honest with you! To me, it isnβt financially possible to be a photographer and skip out on shooting weddings. This quickly because evident to me within a few years of doing this full time. So, over time, as we grew our own family + more of my weekends (hello a 37 wedding year!) were taken up with shooting weddings, I passed more and more on the family sessions to accommodate my sanity. This year, well, we know what this year has looked like. And, instead of just wallowing in my sadness about where all my weddings went, I decided to offer family sessions at a quite reduced rate, similar to mini sessions, but on location + with individual families. I had so much fun filling my summer nights meeting with families I hadnβt seen in a long time, or had only seen in mini session settings. Here are a few of my favorites from this summerβ¦and, if youβre thinking about booking me for a family session, great! But know, (my informal policy) is that Iβll only ever share photos of your children that are unidentifiable, or that Iβve asked you about sharing. I donβt enjoy my own kidβs faces all over social media, so I wonβt do it to you!
Lindsey + Ian | engagement!
Is it β¦ too late to blog an engagement the day after the wedding? Letβs give it a go. We know how this endsβ¦so letβs see a year ago, then youβll be soo much more invested to see their wedding! Lindsey + Ian were my FIRST BOOKING of 2020, way back in March of 2019, and coincidentally, I just had my first booking of 2022 (!!) my first couples are always special to me. Enjoy seeing a glimpse into Lindsey + Ianβs engagement before I share some of their wedding that I shot yesterday! This session is a mix of film + digital, and man do I miss shooting film. With the pandemic, Iβve slowed way down + focused on digital, because, well, film is expensive. But as I start to regain my ground of where my business will be going forward, Iβm beginning to feel that it might be ok to be a little excessive in my film spending and shoot some rolls here and there! stay tuned!
Taylor + Dan | engagement session at the park of the roses
park of the roses in clintonville, ohio engagement session by Jessica love photography.
Itβs hard to not start an engagement session post saying βI canβt wait for their wedding next March!β but, also, this is a moment. I really enjoy engagement sessions because itβs such a wonderful time for you, being photographed, to stop the grind of your daily life + actually celebrate your love for each other. Being engaged is a constant state of change + planning. Sometimes itβs just nice to be. BUT that being said, I can't wait for their spring wedding at Oak Grove! (also who does she look like!? she reminded me, though my camera of Chrissy Teigen!)
Jena + Cody | engagement session

I love seasonal light, these take me right back to the late winter day we met for an engagement session, pre COVID! canβt wait to celebrate their first day of spring wedding at Jorgensen Farmβs Oak Grove!
Rebecca + Evan || Married at Jorgensen Farm's Historic Barn
Rebecca and Evan were married summer 2019 at Jorgensen Farm's historic barn, shot by Jessica love photography
Itβs so fun(ny?) to look back at 2019 weddings, which feel like they JUST happened, and see the world of difference in how weddings are happening in 2020. But, sometimes isnβt a break from the reality exactly what we all need? especially this year? Take a look back at Rebecca + Evanβs wedding with me, and as you look; hereβs a fun detail: they planned it in just a few weeks! They saw the opportunity and jumped on it. I think they did a pretty great job! (and if thatβs not some inspiration to you, if youβre planning your wedding while navigating this COVID world, it should be! You can do it, you can do anything!)
Shot on digital and film with some fun double exposures on Ektachrome (man, I miss shooting film, sort of? this year is so weird!)
