yeah for contests! and, so i don’t leave you without a picture, a little reminiscing of the (yes, just one!)  snow-day we had this winter

where to even start with the gratitude we feel to all those we’ve interacted with in 2011. it was a great year for us; personally and for jlp. we loved so much about so many shoots this year. we feel so lucky to have gotten to know all of you who let us into your home, or trusted us to shoot your special day. i hope that you enjoyed mike’s goofy humor as much as i promised you would! and that when those jlp babies start coming, we are able to be with you to save those memories!

here’s our year in review – with a few favorite (mostly) wedding shots! (i cannot possibly go through my family shoots to pick favorites. they’re all my favorite!)

again, i can’t say it enough. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to all of our friends, family, and clients. we’re so thankful for all you’ve given us in 2011, and can’t even wait to see what 2012 brings!

ah, finally to my favorite part of wedding shooting (ha, ha, get it? they’re all my favorite!). we don’t care if it’s before the ceremony, after the ceremony, during the reception, we love stealing the couple, forcing them into lovey kissey happy positions that we get to capture forever.

and, i have to be honest here. this was by far the hardest for me to choose. so, i didn’t. these five have randomly been chosen from my most favorite love shots. head on over to our portfolio site and view alllll our favorites!

and, that completes the best of series. kind of fun, i’m having fun thinking about the best of 2011 already. premature, maybe. i can’t wait to see where our business goes this year, and how much we’re able to grow. hopefully you’re all going to stick around to see it!

you like to party? we like, we like to party! we’ve been pretty lucky to witness some great parties, and here they are:

everyone who is married knows how important the friends, family, and those lucky folks who make up their bridal are….both on their wedding day and in their lives. i keep finding myself wanting to type “it’s our favorite thing to shoot”….sooooo i guess that’s why we do what we do! but, we love shooting the bridal party, we always challenge ourselves to get fun, new, and interesting perspectives on the traditional line up shot. all this looking over last year’s wedding shots is making me super excited for our weddings to start up! c’mon february 5th!!

i’ve said it before, but i believe it was on our old blog (lord knows we’ve had plenty of those, sheesh, can you even keep up with us?), but i just have such mixed feelings about posting ceremony shots. i know they might super important for couples to base how and why they choose their photographer, but i just think there has to be something kept special. so, if that bugs you don’t hire us

just kidding! c’mon. so hopefully those of you out there scoping the field for wedding photography “get” this. ok. enough. top five ceremony shots.
