I love first birthday photoshoots. The babies are so sweet and…baby-like to me at one, I just eat them up

I started my busy weekend taking this sweet little girl’s two year pictures. She did GREAT, we had lots of fun running around Innis Woods Metro Gardens, and her spunky little personality just came right through in the pictures!!

I can’t believe this precious little girl has been in our lives for TWO YEARS! She is as sweet and sassy as ever. Always finding ways to make everyone laugh. As I say a lot, we are so lucky that we have family close to us – and get to watch our little Finn grow up with his cousins so close.

I can’t even write about how gorgeous and perfect all the details were – and the cake! Car + David did a great job making the day extra special for all the kids + adults involved.

These pictures are also to remind you it’s always a fun idea to have a photographer come to your children’s birthday parties! You don’t want the extra pressure to make sure you’re getting all these sweet moments! (ahem, soooo who’s shooting Finn’s party next month!? )

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELL-A! We love you so much!

 (so one more note about the cake! Car put a cake pop in the shape of a heart as a peek a boo surprise into the cake, so every slice had a little surprise in it. HUH!? AWESOME!)

Well, I know I’ve said it before, but it’s really important to me – as our business grows – to be able to maintain the same values and morals that we started with. Our business started by friends telling friends that they have a friend who’ll take their picture….and now that we’ve moved into a new realm of getting business (advertising with Columbus Bride), I really want to make sure I stay true to what’s important to me: saying THANK YOU to those of you who pass our names along to your engaged friends, families who need their children’s pictures done, etc., etc.

This morning I got to spend some time with an awesome former co-worker who suggested us to one of her friends – whose wedding we’ll be shooting next May.

I am so thankful for all of our wonderful clients, and all our friends who pass our names along. If I could, I’d offer a big giant two hour session for each referral….but, I can’t! SO, I hope these mini session thank you’s are enough to show you how grateful I am….and how much I love capturing your precious moments!

Enough chatter! Here’s the sweet little babe!

And certainly will be doing a proper naked chunky baby photoshoot when she turns 9 months.

I’m like way way way overdue for a personal chatty post about our lives for the past (it seems like) year. All-in-all? I’d say life with an almost TWO year old is as sweet as it gets!
