Emily & Greg chose to do a downtown shoot at the Statehouse, then Goodale Park. The first few pictures are usually a little awkward, as couples are sometimes self conscious, or take a minute to get into being photographed….not these two!! They made it so easy and fun to capture their love and happiness. We’re super excited for their New Year’s Eve wedding!

We had the pleasure of shooting Kristin and Adam’s wedding at the Taylor Mansion. When I met them a few weeks before to check out the grounds, Kristin talked a lot about the weather…and from then on, I really hoped it would treat them well; potentially giving them the Indian Summer October day we had a few years ago in Columbus. Well, as their day approached, the 100% chance of rain was a bit disheartening for them. I think we knew that regardless of where they had their ceremony – outside or under a tent – what would shine through is their intense love, admiration, and respect for each other. And, that’s exactly what happened. They had a lovely ceremony, and a great party for their loved ones! Congrats to Kristin and Adam!! 27

Bakery Gingham (with a new Short North location) made individual table cakes for each table. Such a great idea!!

Moments before the wedding, Kristin told me that one shot she just had to have was a candid of her father walking her down the aisle. I love all the ones that Mike got, it was hard to choose one to show.

Along with their table card placement, each guest got two sparklers to welcome Adam and Kristin to the reception as Husband and Wife. Love it.

Photobooth!

I’ve been really excited to post these pictures as it’s our first real “coming out” for this part of our wedding offerings. We’re happy to say that the photobooth can be an addition to your wedding package, or can be totally separate, and the only part of our photography you use for your wedding.

ENJOY!photobooth5

When I think of our photography career, I will always remember Laura & Tony as the point when the photography bug bit me. Laura is a former co-worker, and lives in the neighborhood. We occasionally ran into each other over the past two years at Goodale Park with our pups. When Laura came to work with an engagement ring last September (or so), I never realized what offering to do “some engagement shots for practice” would lead to.

It was “our” first E-session (I shot while Mike, in his silly way, entertained the couple). And I’m so happy to have shared it with such a great couple. I’ve gotten to know Laura much better over the year, and was really excited for their wedding. They had a beautiful ceremony in the wine cellar of Mon Ami Winery in Port Clinton, Ohio, then moved upstairs to the Loft for the reception.

Congrats, Laura & Tony!! Wishing you a lifetime of happiness together!6-1

There are few things as satisfying as finishing, delivering, and getting feedback from wedding photos. Look for “photobooth” pics coming soon!!

Welcome to the (yes, another new) blog. Hopefully, for us, third time’s a charm. We’re busy, busy, busy…and the holidays are rapidly approaching, and that will mean even less time to get the things we need to get done, done. In the next few weeks look for these upcoming shoots:

Sarah & Chris’ Engagement

Emily & Greg’s Engagement

Kristin & Adam’s Wedding

Sarah & Chris’ Wedding

…and finally a fun filled DC weekend for us!

in the meantime, hope you’re all enjoying your Fall!
